Some major glove manufacturers and more
Caring for your baseball gloves:
There are all kinds of baseball gloves out there including baseball gloves for adults and baseball gloves for children and then for each there are different sizes and styles based for the different positions and sizes of the player’s hands. And with there already being so many to choose from there are several different manufacturers that make all of these gloves and each differs with materials and more. Some of these manufacturers are Akadema, Easton, Mizuno, Rawlings, Wilson, Spalding, Nike and several more. Some other companies are Hillerich and Bradsby, Nokona, and Vinci.
It does not matter who makes your gloves but whatever baseball gloves you have you need to learn to take care of them properly. Keep in mind that there are three basic kinds of leather gloves; these are top of the line gloves made from animal hide then there are gloves made from steer hide and then there is what is known as full grain leather. The steer hide is heavier and a lot stiffer so it will take you a lot more practice to break it in. As for the full grain leather baseball gloves, these are the toughest so they take the longest to break in.
Whichever grade you get proper care will make it last longer. So when you are not using it keep in a place that is cool and dry because moisture and heat damage the leather. Make sure to never loosen the laces and if your gloves ever get wet dry them by towel as much as you can and then let them air dry. And you should also only oil your gloves a couple of times per season, petroleum jelly is most recommended. Keep these tips in mind when it comes to your best youth baseball glove at home, you want to keep them in the best condition possible for as long as you can.
